If you’re looking for rustic charm, nature, peace and tranquility, this is the place for you! We spent a wonderful 4 days at Michel’s gite. The adults enjoyed the peace and quiet, and the children had a wonderful time exploring the vast grounds, going on the swings, building dens in the woods. The accommodation is vast and oozes French charm. A couple of little hints though: The oven is wired wrong – don’t try to turn it off by setting it to 0 as that actually activates the pyrolytic cleaning (which stinks!). Also, bring your own sheets – the ones supplied are horrible disposable things. But there are proper duvets in the cupboards, so if you bring your own sheets, pillow slips and duvet covers, you’re set for a very comfortable stay. We didn’t mind doing this given that the accommodation was so reasonably priced. It was also a great base from which to explore all the wonderful castles and to go cheese and wine tasting. Michel is also very helpful and accommodating if you need anything. Highly recommended!
